Wicked and more...
I went and saw Wicked, the musical, last weekend at the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco. It was a really good time. The person playing the Wicked Witch of the West had an incredible voice. The music is good and the acting is great. I really recommend it.
Also, I spent some time at a Drummer Meet and Greet, put on by the editor of Drum Magazine. Met a lot of cool local drummers and got to hang out with a bunch that I already knew.
Did a recording for a 14 year old kid. It's a friend of a friends kid. He started writing songs and he hired Trip Device to record the drums and produce a song. After he heard what we did with the first track, he asked if we could do his entire record (when he is done writing it). Pretty cool stuff, pop punk, kind of like Blink 182.
Hung out with Scott Amendola the other day. He gave me a list of CD's to listen to, including Paul Motion's CD "Bill Evans". That CD is great.
Had a good week booking Farewell Typewriter. Got us a show on April 21st @ Bottom of the Hill, and another show this summer in Yosemite @ Evergreen Lodge.
Well, have a good day. I have t0 go arrange some jazz tunes now :)
