Local Bands
Well, last night was the final night I am going out to flyer for our show at Bottom of the Hill. After seeing many many local bands, most of which I had never heard of, I have to ask some questions....
How many people really enjoy seeing local bands, verses how many go simply to support a friend?
How many of you go out to see local bands and expect the bands to be good, verse assuming it's going to be bad?
Is there a scene? Do people want there to be a music scene?
And, since other bands feel the need to cover up our show posters before our show has even happened, are the local bands actually ruining the scene?
These questions are on my mind. Some shows were packed, others empty. Seemed to have no relevance to how good the bands were. Are we wasting our time handing out flyers?
