Yosemite for me

Hey, I just spent the weekend up in Yosemite with my band Farewell Typewriter. We played at a place called Evergreen Lodge. It's not in Yosemite Valley, it's more on the Hetch Hetchy Side.

While we were there, we hiked on a path next to the Hetch Hetchy damn. Saw plenty of wild life, including a giant bear on the path about ten feet in front of us. Plenty of lizards and snakes. Then a giant water fall, that was amazing. It was about 103 degrees, so it was pretty much a big sweat fest.

Saturday night we played a 3 hours show. It was really fun, we mixed in covers with our original songs. People were dancing, screaming, drinking. We ended up doing a couple encores and closing down the bar.

The best part was probably the girl that yelled "YOU'RE SO HOT!!!" through the window at me. Pretty much made it the best gig ever! Here's a photo to help prove my story...

All in all, great gig, great friends, great food... really fun! Can't wait to do it again.

A very cool blog entry. I'll be up in that area later this year both for music as well as outdoor fun. Cool stuff. Looks like you had fun.
